L’Arte di Creare

The card that comes with every piece says it better than any introduction: «handmade work in hardstone, cultured pearls, Murano glass and resin». That is how the workshop defines itself, written on the little card propped on the stall beside the necklaces.

There are two of them — Antonella Dondoli and her daughter — and they have been doing this for over fifteen years. The business is in Antonella’s name, is based in Florence and dates from 2012.

What you find here does not follow a single line: coral and stone necklaces, long strands of crystals, oval pendants on cord one per colour, butterfly brooches, the resin earrings customised on the spot and the bracelets spelling out a name. To the stone parures the workshop attaches a card explaining the stone: it is not a technical sheet, it is the way she has chosen to hand a piece over to whoever buys it.

None of these pieces goes into the basket: they are reserved, and collected at the stall or in the shop.
