Blue resin spheres the size of marbles, alternating with carved roses in the same blue and with glass spheres holding gold leaf inside. Between one element and the next, a small black bead keeps the distance.
It is long: it goes over the head without a clasp and reaches below the chest. You feel the weight, and that is part of how it sits.
Beside it, on the bar, the earrings from the same series: the gold-leaf glass sphere above, the blue sphere below.

Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi have been making handmade costume jewelry for more than fifteen years: hardstone, pearls, crystals, Murano glass and resin. The business, L'Arte di Creare, dates from 2012 and is based in Firenze. The stall travels between markets and fairs, in Tuscany and beyond.
