Reserved here, collected at the stall

This piece is made by hand and lives on the market stall: it doesn’t go into the basket, it gets reserved. Write what you need here — the request reaches Tuscany Market Hub and we pass it on to L’Arte di Creare, who will tell you whether it’s still there, what it costs and where to collect it.

A short necklace of turquoise spheres alternating with white pearls and small gilt grains, and with it two fine chains: one carries an openworked mother-of-pearl heart, the other falls with a baroque pearl, a rough turquoise nugget and a gilt tassel at the end.

Around them, on the same glass shelf: two pairs of earrings — one with a pale blue glass drop below a pearl, one with turquoise chips — a ring with the stone set in claws, bracelets of turquoise beads, and one of spheres and pearls on a slice of wood.

The card beside them is hers: it says that turquoise has always been regarded as a symbol of wisdom, a stone that brings peace and balance, and that it is held to be the traveller’s stone above all others.

L’Arte di Creare

Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi have been making handmade costume jewelry for more than fifteen years: hardstone, pearls, crystals, Murano glass and resin. The business, L'Arte di Creare, dates from 2012 and is based in Firenze. The stall travels between markets and fairs, in Tuscany and beyond.
