A blue resin rose, carved petal by petal and polished to a mirror finish, hung from a round gilt stud openworked like a nest of wire. Between the two, a small bead acts as a hinge and lets the rose swing.
They are the most recognisable thing on the stall. The sign beside them says one thing only: «resin earrings customised on the spot» — you choose the flower and the stud, they are assembled in front of you, and you take them away.

Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi have been making handmade costume jewelry for more than fifteen years: hardstone, pearls, crystals, Murano glass and resin. The business, L'Arte di Creare, dates from 2012 and is based in Firenze. The stall travels between markets and fairs, in Tuscany and beyond.
