How it works

Buy online, collect at the market

A marketplace where the person who hands you your order has a name, a stall and a day.

Tuscany Market Hub is a different kind of marketplace. You buy Tuscan craft, food and wine online, but you don't get them from a courier: you collect them at the market, from someone who knows the area and works the stall near you.

It is built for people who want to buy well, to know who hands them their order, to live the market as a real exchange. It isn't the only way: anyone who prefers delivery at home chooses it in the cart, and the parcel comes by courier.

But the heart of the project is collection at the market — because the market is where a place comes together.

Choose

You browse the catalog, read the product pages, find out which Tuscan business each one comes from. You add what interests you to the cart.

Prices already include VAT — no surprises at checkout.

Choose where to collect

In the cart, below the total, you choose how you want to receive your order. If you choose collection at the market you need the stall's code: if you don't have it, the «Where to collect» button opens a five-step form — region, province, town, market, stall — and at the end it gives you the code to paste into the cart.

Every stall has its own page: the days, the squares, the pitch, what is on it. Otherwise you choose home delivery. The parcel leaves the producer either way, so there is a shipping cost in both cases: you see how much before you pay.

Collect at the market

You agree the day and the exact market directly with the market trader after the order. That day you stop by the stall, show your order confirmation and take the parcel.

One person, one place, one agreed moment. The parcel isn't waiting for you at home: you collect it somewhere you know, at an hour you know, from the hands of the person at the stall.

The reasons

Why we built a marketplace this way

Four hands, from two different people, working the clay together on a workbench

You know who hands it over

The person, not the algorithm

In the standard e-commerce model, whoever delivers to you is a stranger who turns up once, doesn't speak, and disappears. In the TMH model, whoever hands you your order is a trader who lives in your area, knows the products they're giving you, and you will probably see again.

The parcel isn't an isolated event: it's an appointment.

The market as a social occasion

The place, not just the address

The market isn't just somewhere to buy things. It's the weekly moment when a neighborhood meets, when people talk, when the sellers get to know one another.

When you stop by to collect a TMH order, you do all of that. You aren't replacing a trip to the market with an online purchase: you're creating one more.

The margin stays local

The supply chain, not the middleman

Buying through TMH, you buy from the producer: they are the seller, they are the one who invoices you. In between there is no big generalist marketplace's margin, and none of the chain of hand-offs that puts distance between whoever buys and whoever makes.

The value stays where it was created. And you collect the parcel somewhere that is already there on the ground — the market stall — instead of from one more link.

What if...

I can't get to the market on the day arranged

Not a problem: the collection day is agreed with the market trader after the order, and it can be moved. The parcel stays at the stall until the next market. If neither date works for you, write to us on WhatsApp at +39 392 866 8449 and we'll sort it out with them. In exceptional cases you can send someone else to collect, and they will show your order confirmation.

The product arrives at the market in poor condition

Tell the market trader when you collect: they open a report with us straight away, and we tell you how it gets resolved. For fresh and perishable food the report has to be made at the moment of collection.

I want to be sure the product is available before I go

Whatever can go into the cart is available. Pieces that can't be ordered yet say so on the page — Arriving soon if the product is on its way, Request a quote if it is made to order, By booking if it is a course or an experience — and in those cases the cart doesn't appear at all.

After the order, you agree the collection day with the market trader: you go to the stall when the parcel is at the stall.

I want home delivery, not collection at the market

In the cart, below the total, choose Home delivery instead of collection at the stall. You see the cost before you pay, and the parcel reaches your home within the courier's usual times.

Can I collect at a market in another town?

Yes. The «Where to collect» form has you choose the region first, then the province, then the town: it isn't filtered by where you are. If you know you often pass a particular market, choose that one — even if it is outside the town where you live.

Can I pay cash on collection?

No. Payment is always online, at the moment of the order. This confirms the product and keeps market traders from having to handle money. At the stall you only show your order confirmation and take the parcel.

I'm a producer or a market trader: how do I join?

Applications go through the network's local offices — UAI Firenze, UAI Livorno, FIA. If you are a Tuscan artisan producer or market trader and you are interested, write to us from the Contact page or on WhatsApp at +39 392 866 8449: we will put you in touch with the right office.

Which markets can I collect from

You see them all in the Where to collect form: choose region, province and town and the markets with a TMH stall appear. The list builds itself from the active stalls, so what you read there is always today's situation.
