A long strand of faceted crystals in black and bronze, alternating without a fixed pattern, and at the bottom an octopus in black glass: the body round and glossy, the eight arms spreading out and curling at the tips.
The pendant hangs from a small gilt ring and swings free: it turns on itself, and the glass catches the light on the ridges of the arms.
It sits in the window beside a shorter choker with a black rose, and the two are worn together.

Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi have been making handmade costume jewelry for more than fifteen years: hardstone, pearls, crystals, Murano glass and resin. The business, L'Arte di Creare, dates from 2012 and is based in Firenze. The stall travels between markets and fairs, in Tuscany and beyond.
