Two necklaces of different lengths, built from irregular chips and polished spheres of a pale blue, interspersed with white pearls. One falls to the breastbone, the other stops higher: they are worn together.
With them, on the same shelf: the drop earrings on their gilt bar, two bracelets in their little boxes — one with a four-leaf clover, one with a butterfly — and a boxed pair of earrings, ready to be given.
Beside the parure the workshop places its own card about the stone. She wrote it herself, and it says of aquamarine that it has an enormous calming power, that it heightens self-confidence, that it can quiet anxieties and helps one reach wellbeing and harmony. It is the way she has chosen to tell people what she sells, and it is worth reading at the stall.

Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi have been making handmade costume jewelry for more than fifteen years: hardstone, pearls, crystals, Murano glass and resin. The business, L'Arte di Creare, dates from 2012 and is based in Firenze. The stall travels between markets and fairs, in Tuscany and beyond.
