Collection Gioielli Classici·Pendente
Two carats fifteen of peridot, held at its two points by yellow gold claws.
Drawn and built by hand at the bench, in Tosi.
Two slender arcs, side by side: one in white gold, one in yellow. They touch at the top, where the chain passes, and open out as they descend. On the white arc, in a row, three small brilliants. At the bottom the peridot sits crosswise between the two arcs, held only at its two points by yellow gold claws: there is no metal under the stone, and the light goes straight through it. Three centimeters tall in all.
Seven grams forty of eighteen carat gold. The peridot is natural, marquise cut, two carats fifteen: it is the largest stone and it sets the color of the whole piece. The three natural brilliant-cut diamonds come to six hundredths of a carat together, color F and clarity VVS, and they sit at the top, where the chain takes the eye first. The ring that matches it exists: same drawing and same stone, and it is photographed beside the pendant in the last three shots.
Weights and carats as the workshop declares them.

The words of the trade, one by one, explained to those who do not know them.
I don't look at what others are doing: I would rather create in my own style. That is what makes our jewelry recognizable.
Fabio Gori — Anna Gioielli, Tosi
Every piece leaves the bench made to order: sizes and details are agreed before the work begins.
The goldsmith's workshop is also the place where made-to-measure jewellery is created and family pieces are restored: if you have an idea, or something you want brought back to how it was, that is where it starts.
A goldsmith's workshop in Tosi, on the slopes of the Pratomagno: Anna opened it in 1988, her sons Fabio and Francesco carry it on. Piercing, repoussé, chasing and burin engraving — the Florentine school, with the workshop in full view of the shop.
