Collection Gioielli Classici·Anello
Two oval emeralds for eighty points of a carat, separated by three brilliants.
Drawn and built by hand at the bench, in Tosi.
Five stones in a row across the front: two oval emeralds, set lengthways along the band, and three brilliants — one between the two greens, one on each side to close. There are two emeralds, and the piece is called «Noi due». Under each emerald the setting is open, four claws bent into a V and nothing else, and the light comes in from below as well. The yellow gold band is smooth and thins towards the back.
Three grams eighty of eighteen-carat yellow gold. The two emeralds come to eighty points of a carat, the three brilliants twenty-two: the green stones weigh almost four times the white ones, and they are the subject. The emerald is a beryl, and it must be treated as one: high on the hardness scale, but fragile to knocks on the edges, and never in the ultrasonic bath.
Weights and carats as the workshop declares them.

The words of the trade, one by one, explained to those who do not know them.
I don't look at what others are doing: I would rather create in my own style. That is what makes our jewelry recognizable.
Fabio Gori — Anna Gioielli, Tosi
Every ring is made to the size of the person who will wear it: we settle it together before work begins.
The goldsmith's workshop is also the place where made-to-measure jewellery is created and family pieces are restored: if you have an idea, or something you want brought back to how it was, that is where it starts.
A goldsmith's workshop in Tosi, on the slopes of the Pratomagno: Anna opened it in 1988, her sons Fabio and Francesco carry it on. Piercing, repoussé, chasing and burin engraving — the Florentine school, with the workshop in full view of the shop.
