White gold "Traversine" ring with four brilliant-cut diamonds weighing six cents each

Four brilliants in a row, and between them five white gold cross bars set vertically: two small brilliants are set on each. The large stones have no claws around them — they are seated between two cross bars, and it is the cross bar that holds them in place and fixes the spacing. The band is thin and the setting rises little: on the finger the row stays a low, continuous line.

Two grams and forty of eighteen-carat white gold. The four large brilliants come to twenty-four points of a carat, six points each, and the ten small ones on the cross bars another five: twenty-nine points in all, color F and clarity VS2. In the catalog this is the small size of the model: the same count of stones as its bigger brother, with less than half the gold and a third of the carat. What changes is the bulk, not the design.
