This honey

Where it comes from

Five hundred grams of the strongest of the three: dark, dense, with the bitter aftertaste that chestnut always leaves. It's the size for those who have already chosen it - you don't buy a small jar of chestnut honey just to try it.

Where acacia honey serves to sweeten without being noticed, chestnut honey wants to be recognized: it holds its own with aged cheeses and doesn't disappear.

The plant
The chestnut tree is an arboreal plant known and appreciated for its fruits and for its valuable wood. Its characteristic, slightly bitter taste is due to the presence of tannin.
Blossom
From mid-June to mid-July
