Where it comes from

It's the most decisive of the three. Dark, dense, with that bitter undertone that chestnut always leaves and that's why people either love it or hate it: there's no middle ground, and those who seek it are looking for exactly that.

Where acacia serves to sweeten without being noticed, chestnut wants to be recognized. It's found in the pantry of a farm where over ninety percent of the estate is woodland, poplar groves, and arable land.

The plant
The chestnut tree is an arboreal plant known and appreciated for its fruits and for its valuable timber. The characteristic, slightly bitter taste is due to the presence of tannin.
