Collection Creazioni in Argento·Anello·Nest setting on an open shank
Twelve millimeters by nine of citrine quartz, raised on eight claws above a silver nest that never touches it.
Drawn and built by hand at the bench, in Tosi.
The yellow is not laid on evenly: at the edges it is pale as straw, and towards the center it gathers into a darker band of honey that shifts as soon as you turn your hand. The stone is an oval with a wide table on top and a single crown of facets all around: the table does not sparkle, it lets you look inside, and it is the facets at the edge that send the light back in short flashes. Below there is no closed back — the gem sits raised above the silver cup, and what you see under the yellow is the light crossing it and rising again from the matt bottom of the nest.
Twelve millimeters by nine: an oval that covers almost the whole knuckle. The silver is at nine hundred and twenty-five thousandths and weighs nine grams exactly. Citrine is quartz, the same species as rock crystal and amethyst, and at the seventh degree of hardness it can be worn every day without thinking about scratches. The delicate part is the color: it comes from iron and from heat, and with heat it goes. The ring is kept away from prolonged direct light and never left near a flame, not even during a repair. The carat weight is not declared by the maker, and we do not add it.
Weights and carats as the workshop declares them.

The words of the trade, one by one, explained to those who do not know them.
I don't look at what others are doing: I would rather create in my own style. That is what makes our jewelry recognizable.
Fabio Gori — Anna Gioielli, Tosi
The shank of this ring is left open: the two ends overlap without being soldered, and light finger pressure widens or narrows it. It can be worn in several sizes, and on different fingers.
The goldsmith's workshop is also the place where made-to-measure jewellery is created and family pieces are restored: if you have an idea, or something you want brought back to how it was, that is where it starts.
A goldsmith's workshop in Tosi, on the slopes of the Pratomagno: Anna opened it in 1988, her sons Fabio and Francesco carry it on. Piercing, repoussé, chasing and burin engraving — the Florentine school, with the workshop in full view of the shop.
