The plot

Young Topo Rosso lives alone in the woods and never feels like doing anything. One morning he wakes up and smells something appetizing. So, he follows it, and when he goes into the mountain hole it came from, he gets a big surprise: there's no food inside, but a colony of gray mice working on special projects. Not wanting to remain alone in the woods anymore, Topo Rosso decides to help the others and will start doing something he has never done before: working. And precisely because he has never had such an experience, he will constantly face unforeseen events and changes... In reality, thanks to his many abilities, he will retrace all the phases of children's book production, from illustration to writing. It is he, at a certain point, who writes his adventure, causing a minor revolt among the others who will react by each writing a story and creating a library as big as a mountain!

I'm a mouse. And even if you don't believe it, I'm a very lucky mouse indeed. My life as a normal mouse changed when I made a great discovery. Like every day, I had left my burrow under the big tree on the round hill, when a gust of wind brought me a very strange smell. It was the first time I had encountered it and I was very curious to get to know it better... Sniffing the air, I crept further and further into the evergreen forest, where the plants grow thicker and the soft moss tickles your paws. And it was there that I found a strange, narrow and deep tunnel. It had been dug right under a large gray boulder. The closer I got, the more intense the smell became. When my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I was breathless! In a large room, a small army of gray mice was working tirelessly to prepare a thousand adventure stories! I had discovered the little factory of the mountain mice!
