I never would have thought my life could become something to tell in a series of short stories, yet here we are!

One of my strange inventions made it all possible.

And even though it didn't turn out as I'd planned, the result is truly amazing.

That afternoon, I had just returned from my long walk and, as always, had immediately taken off my hat, scarf, and coat to rush into my laboratory. My eyes widened in astonishment! Mary Jennings, the housekeeper, had put everything in order. "How many times do I have to tell you not to tidy this room?" I had shouted before scattering everything again, tossing the papers that were on the desk into the air. I was truly furious. Too much order, in fact, prevents me from thinking clearly and stifles my imagination. How else could I have my splendid ideas? At that point, however, old Mrs. Jennings appeared immediately behind me. "What have you done?" she asked, almost crying, before running off and shutting the door behind her.
