What it is, and what is in it
Six degrees, dark amber with ruby reflections. The brewery indicates it as their first production: the one made before there was a brewery to call it such.
In the recipe, alongside barley malt, there are muscovado sugar and maltodextrins. The muscovado brings a dark molasses note; the maltodextrins maintain the body without adding fermentable sweetness, which is why the beer is full-bodied without being cloying. On the nose, caramel, biscuit, and dried fruit – hazelnut and almond. On the palate, caramel and a light toastiness, and the finish remains sweet.
First place at Beer of the Year in 2011, second in 2018, third in 2019.

- Production, maturation, and packaging take place at the facility on via Cimarosa, in Livorno, where the brewery also hosts guided tours and tastings. The brewery presents itself as craft: under Italian law, the term mandates a non-pasteurized and non-microfiltered beer, produced by an independent brewery. The catalog is divided into three declared categories - Core Range, Year Round, The Fun Part - depending on whether the beer is always available, matures for a long time, or is a one-time release.
