This beer

What it is, and what is in it

Six and a half degrees, golden color. This is the second version of an IPA that the brewery has been producing for years: the recipe has been re-hopped, and the four hops in use - Centennial, Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe - are all American.

On the nose, grapefruit and lime emerge. In the mouth, the beer remains dry: the malt does not provide a sweet counterbalance, and the final bitterness is clean and long. The recipe includes sugar, which dries the body instead of weighing it down.

Third place at Birra dell'Anno in 2013, and three mentions in Slow Food's Guida alle Birre d'Italia.

How it is made
Production, maturation, and packaging take place at the facility on via Cimarosa, in Livorno, where the brewery also hosts guided tours and tastings. The brewery presents itself as craft: under Italian law, the term mandates a non-pasteurized and non-microfiltered beer, produced by an independent brewery. The catalog is divided into three declared categories - Core Range, Year Round, The Fun Part - depending on whether the beer is always available, matures for a long time, or is a one-time release.
