Designed, built and finished inside the workshop, in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.
The piece
The work begins with the survey, not with the piece: the real pitch is measured, which is never the one on the plan, and the run of the beams is checked. From that comes a dimensioned drawing, and only then is anything cut. It is the piece where the quotation cannot come before the measurements, and it is why the company asks you to call first.
How it is made
The finish is the craft: lacquer and gold leaf are the two steps almost everyone subcontracts, and here they stay in house.

The workshop
L'ARTES
An art furniture workshop in Sambuca, founded in Firenze, in San Frediano, in 1968 by two young artisans trained by the masters of woodcarving. The whole cycle stays inside: the drawing, the unfinished piece, the lacquering, the decoration and the hand gilding. Three lines — Classico, Contemporary and Antica Firenze — and every piece built to the measurements of whoever orders it.
