The plot

When approaching a book for young readers, it's never easy to give good advice. Especially because everyone should be free to proceed as they see fit.

While I was writing this story, however, I immediately noticed something and I want to share it with you.

To tell you the truth, I still don't know if it happened by chance, but in the end, there are twenty-five chapters in these fun adventures, just like the days in December leading up to Christmas.

So, that's where the idea came from!

Poli's Adventures can be used as a real advent calendar!

If you follow my advice and read one chapter a day, by the end of the book, all that's left for me to do is wish you a Merry Christmas!

What do you think?

For now, since we're just at the beginning, I feel like telling you to enjoy your reading...

In a distant land, at the edge of the desert, a lush and cheerful city rises.

From the first light of dawn, its white and dusty streets are bustling with caravans that, in single file, make their way to the market.

Nomads, from all corners of the world, advance with dignity, seated on the humps of camels. Countless baskets, seemingly precariously balanced, hang from the sides of their animals.

Merchants display the most varied products in the ancient square: aromatic spices, fragrant creams, precious carpets, shimmering fabrics of a thousand hues, but also birds, chickens, goats, dates, and pistachios.

Intense aromas waft everywhere, while colors stand out against the golden shades of the desert, creating a grand spectacle for both sky and earth.

The wind, always active and mischievous, continuously reshapes the small and perfect sand dunes.

Atop the hill, the silhouette of the Royal Palace, which dominates everything, stands out.

The majestic fortification is set like an important jewel among the sunny dunes.

Anyone who looks up is fascinated by the palace.

The palace looms proudly, with its gigantic stone blocks and its high white walls.

The enormous gate is preceded by a thick hedge that prevents immediate access. At the top of the building rises a tower, from which a flag waves, ensuring the king's presence.

For a long time, no one has approached it.

Many rumors circulate about the sovereign's behavior.

The conversations are always the same for everyone: "Come on, let's go, the king has fallen into a strange crisis. He's gone mad! If you only knew…"

"Rumors say that King Melech has a strange habit: he sleeps during the day instead of at night, to watch the stars."

"He's completely lost his mind!" a passerby declares. "With all the gold he possesses, he's crazy to live like this!"

Every evening, from the castle terrace, the king examines the sky. Meticulously, he jots down his calculations on wax tablets. In particular, he observes the Big Dipper, the fascinating group of seven stars visible above the entire celestial vault.

For him, it's a premonitory sign. A personal intuition pushes and guides him in the study of the stars.

For some time, the idea has been buzzing in his mind that he must urgently identify, within the constellations, a message, an extraordinary clue...
