Here I am, from Murcia to Alicante on this rickety bus.

The weather is dismal, also because I'm anxious thinking about having to face yet another journey whose outcome I don't know.

The driver reminds everyone to wear masks for the entire journey. I scratch an ear and my gaze caresses the curves of these hills, whose snow-capped peaks I think I now recognize.

Then, finally, a ray of sunshine illuminates the highway and makes me feel less sad and alone.

In the distance, the sea washing Alicante begins to appear, although the sea alone is certainly not enough to make me happy. It takes a lot more!

Now I don't even know what I miss most: my freedom and that of others? And, then, who are the others? All those who, like me, feel alone in these difficult years, where anxiety and worry seem never to end...

It has become increasingly difficult to travel. Even just out of necessity or urgency. Even being repatriated is no longer guaranteed.

The situation seems to be very unusual everywhere. I just wonder how it will be possible to return to normal again, how we will all somehow manage to find a new balance in the world...
