The plot

Having departed to spend his summer holidays in a place that fascinates him, the main character of this social science fiction novel finds himself immersed in an adventure full of paradoxes and clichés, which propel him into the center of a radical social experiment. And so, he will have to confront his habits, thus discovering the information and ways of being that have now been characteristic of an evolved society within the Experiment for a decade. Ultimately, without forgetting a certain cheerful and entertaining component, this story takes us into a whirlwind of revolutionary and unusual ideas, truly capable of inspiring all those who wish to see the world through different eyes. A unique book, profound and light at the same time, which is in fact a good way to reflect and evaluate how much can be wrong with one's daily habits.

“Hello?” “Hi, it’s me…” “Oh, hi! How are you? Everything alright?” “Yes, yes…” “So? Have you decided?” “Yes, a couple of days and I’m leaving. Just enough time to get ready. I need to sort out some documents, but it shouldn’t take long…” “Good, come over this afternoon and tell me everything, and we’ll organize it together…” “Alright, thanks! I was hoping you’d say that…” “What do you think?! You decide to go There and I’d leave you alone? Weren’t we friends?” “Haha! Thanks! Luckily you exist! See you today, I’ll come early…” “I’ll be waiting.” I hang up the call. It’s an important journey. I’ve decided to go There. There, into the Experiment. The idea of a diary seems excellent. We no longer have reliable news. After the first few years, no more precise information arrives. And anyway, fifteen days of vacation in Sicily seem well spent. “Who is it now?” I answer the phone. “Hello?” “Good morning, this is the bank. You need to come in this afternoon to sign the documents and we need an interview with you. You must do it in person, it cannot be done over the phone.” “Alright, but what kind of interview? I don’t understand... And what documents do I need to sign? For what?” “Don’t worry, you’ll find out today when you come in. See you later. Goodbye.” “Alright, but what time should I come? What time is the appointment? ...hello? ...hello? ...she hung up!” I don’t understand what the bank has to do with it and why they want me to sign these documents… The interview, furthermore, seems ridiculous. I can’t eat, I’m not hungry. I go out. The cars are too quiet and I risk not hearing them and getting hit. Fortunately, everyone is kind and not in a hurry. Maybe I’m not risking my life too much. I’m excited, but calm in developing my thoughts. I could go eat a pizza in the pine forest, at that pizzeria with the fake dinosaurs that seem to really fly, they still scare me a little… I smile. But I’m not hungry... How can I eat with my stomach in knots? “Hello, Oreste? Listen, what if I came over now?” “Well, I was eating... If you want, we can share…” “No, no! I’m not hungry. It’s just that I have to go to the bank later, they want an interview…” “An interview? Have you become famous? Haha!” “How should I know! They say they want to interview me and then there are documents to sign… Listen, I’m coming; if I keep walking around, I risk getting hit! I have too much on my mind, I’m not walking straight…” “Come, come…” and he hangs up the call.
