What is on the stall

Le Delizie di Emy is Erminda Paterna's food truck: a Sicilian fry shop, rotisserie and pastry counter on wheels, based in Carmignano, in the province of Prato. On the menu are the arancine — with meat ragù and peas, with cooked ham and mozzarella, with sausage, mushrooms and béchamel, alla Norma, with spinach, ham and mozzarella — and the seafood ones, with cuttlefish ink, with octopus ragù, allo scoglio; then the rotisserie with stuffed rustici, pane e panelle and croquettes, vegetable and fish couscous, aubergine caponata with croutons, and the paper cone of fried land or sea food. Cannoli and cassate are painted on the side of the truck too.

Food that travels chilled; partly of their own making, partly made by others.

The truck works at weekly markets with an assigned pitch, on the move and at fairs and special events, in Florence and its surroundings: on Tuesdays it is at the Cascine market. It can also be booked for private parties: “for your events too”, says the sign.

Where to find them

The calendar is the shop: one fixed square, the stall is there when the market is.
