L'Arte di Creare

Artisan jewelry made from semi-precious stones, pearls, crystals, Murano glass, and resin. The tag accompanying each piece says so, and this is how the shop defines itself: "artisan creations in semi-precious stones, colored pearls, Murano glass, and resin."

It's made by two people—Antonella Dondoli and her daughter Cristina Ulivi—and they have been doing it for over fifteen years. The business is registered under Antonella, is based in Florence, and was established in 2012.

On the counter, very different items coexist: coral and stone necklaces, long strings of beads, pendants, butterfly brooches, and the resin earrings—blue, orange, ivory roses—which are the most recognizable part. The resin earrings can be personalized on the spot while you wait. For children, there are bracelets with the letters of their name.

Next to the stone parures, the shop places a card explaining the stone: it writes that aquamarine has a calming power, enhances self-confidence, and brings serenity and harmony. This is the way they've chosen to tell the story of what they sell, and it's worth reading at the counter.

The counter doesn't have a fixed circuit of locations: they work itinerantly at fairs and special events, and the calendar changes from time to time. There is also a brick-and-mortar shop—L'Arte di Creare, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto 1 in Porretta Terme.
