At the bottom, inside a closed silver bezel hand-folded around the contour of the stone, lies the oval blue topaz, with a checkerboard cut crown: the light does not emerge compactly, it divides into squares, and the blue remains clear even where the surrounding metal is dark. The other three stones are small, round, and spaced apart—they do not touch and do not form an outline: each has its own small round bezel, with a polished edge. Green at the top left, purple at the right, pink at the bottom next to the topaz. At the top, the bail is carved from the same perforated plate. From the reverse side, the filigree passes through, and the setting of the topaz remains open: the stone is visible from behind as well.
