It is not held by pointed prongs but by silver spheres pressed onto the edge of the stone, like droplets cooled on it. Around it, the silver is oxidized and pierced through and through: round and oval craters of different sizes, the bases left black, the raised parts repolished; the same surface continues on the sides and descends onto the shank, which remains pierced all the way through. The four gray diamonds do not form a halo: they are at the corners around the turquoise, one per quadrant, and each has its own yellow gold four-prong setting.
