The silver veins between one rhombus and the next remain in relief and hold the hammering; where three cubes meet, the remaining metal forms a six-pointed star. Towards the edge, the design stops: some cells are cut in half, some close into a round drop, and around it runs a band of hammered silver without color. The back is not enameled and not perforated: it is a single dome of hammered silver, with a static design and a textured surface.
